Extreme Fat Smash Diet by Dr. Ian Smith, Book cover

The Fat Smash Diet is taken to the extreme with a quick weight loss plan set up to help you lose as much as 12 pounds in three weeks.

If you want to lose weight fast without relying on a fad diet, Dr. Ian Smith has the answer for you in his latest book, Extreme Fat Smash Diet. The program is based on scientific principles and proven research. The Extreme Fat Smash Diet doesn’t have gimmicks or require you to cut out food groups to lose weight. What Dr. Ian has done is devised a sensible weight loss plan that challenges your body and pushes it to the extreme.

If you are ready for a challenge and determined to lose weight, Extreme Fat Smash dietis the program for you. It works, but only if you follow the program exactly. The book teaches portion control and how to make smart food choices that will effect your weight. You will learn to eat foods at specific times to boost your metabolism and keep from getting overly hungry. The diet plan includes increasing your fiber intake and eating foods that are lower on the Glycemic Index (GI) level to keep your blood sugar level steady.

The Extreme Fat Smash Diet includes information about raising your metabolism and dispels myths surrounding how to do that. Dr. Ian offers advice on the factors that do have some effect on your metabolism and shows how to maximize your calorie burn with food and exercise.

The Extreme Fat Smash Diet book will help you determine your body type and ask you to follow the appropriate plan exactly as it has been laid out to get fast results. For example, if you are the type of person who works hard, eats smart and still has trouble losing weight, you will be asked to do an extra 10 minutes of cardio some days, reduce your carb option by half a cup some days and consume fewer calories. With these minor adjustments, the Extreme Fat Smash Diet assures you too can lose the weight.

The basis of the Extreme Fat Smash Diet is a three week rotation. The first week (or cycle, as he refers to them) is the strictest; the second week allows you to add back some of the fruits, bread and peanut butter that weren’t allowed the first week. The third cycle allows a little more freedom, but you still must stick to the plan as it has been designed.

At the end of the third cycle you have the option to move onto the maintenance phase where you can eat sensibly for life or you can return to cycle one and repeat the rotation to lose more weight. The only rule in the Extreme Fat Smash Diet is that you can’t do the same cycle two weeks in a row. It is important to keep tricking your body and switching things up to burn more metabolism and lose more weight.

The meals are simple and repetitive throughout the cycles. The snack list is extensive and offers a variety of choices, including fruits, popcorn, chocolate and more. Extreme Fat Smash also includes 75 recipes that are simple and require minimal ingredients. There’s no need to make complicated meals or buy things you’ll only use once. The meals are realistic for people with busy lifestyles.

The Extreme Fat Smash Diet is also filled with daily meal plans and coordinating journal pages to track your progress and it is sprinkled with tips from Dr. Ian about weight loss and making healthier choices.

Are there any other Fat Smashers out there?
I am on my second day fo the Extreme Fat Smash Diet and it is not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I haven't gotten my usual withdrawl headaches that I get when I start a strict diet and I feel energized and good.

And although Dr. Ian advises against weighiing in, I just couldn't resist this morning...I am already down 3 pounds!!

I like my carbs too. I know it isn't going to be easy to stick with the extreme fat shash diet, but hopefully it will get easier once we adjust to the new way of eating. I will be happy to get to cycle 2 when we can have the two slices of whole wheat bead too.

Good luck staying on track and losing weight!

I am into phase 3 and I do not exercise (hopefully ths will change soon). After 9 days of Phase 1, and three weeks of phase 2, I have lost 10 lbs. I loose about a pound a week after phase 1. My hubby who exercises has lost 25 in the same time frame.

i started this diet on tuesday. but i haven't been working out like i should. i know you see better results if you do. but is there anyone that didn't work out alot and still saw results?

I think you will still be able to lose weight on the Extreme Fat Smash Diet without exercising, just at a much slower rate. Still, you might want to add in exercise whenever you get the cnace, even if only in 10 minute increments.

Good lcuk!

I am becoming so extremely tempted to buy the book - the diet just seems to make sense!

I have to wonder - what are the main differences between extreme fat smash and normal fat smash? I'd probably go the route of extreme; always the nice feeling of instant gratification, and the fact that I don't know... I feel so GOOD when I'm able to adhere to diet plans like that, and I think I'm up for the challenge.

I'm but a mere teen, however. My doctors have been telling me I'm mentally and physicially mature for my age since kindergarten, but I'm wondering if there's any advice against someone under eighteen? I've gone through the major puberty humps, so yeah.

Thanks you guys, and good luck on the diet - I hope to join you soon!

The first bok, the Fat Smash Diet starts with a 9-fay detox phase and then your gradually add foods back in your diet over the next few phases of the diet.

Extreme Fat Smash is a different style of dieting that starts with identifying what category you fall into and then you follow the plan detailed for your weight loss type.

Exercise and eating healthy foods are emphasized on both Fat Smash plans.

As a teen, I would not suggest the detoxing. Exercise and healthier food choices are valid ways to lose weight at any age.

Good luck!
